Modern hot-fix tapes are a simple solution for decorating clothing, both at the production stage and when making finished clothing more attractive and refreshed. The tapes have a thermo-adhesive layer which, when cooled, permanently binds, e.g. to the fabric, at a temperature of up to 180 degrees Celsius, significantly shortening the clothing finishing process. Rich design and interesting ornamentation allow for a wide range of uses.
What is hot-fix adhesive tape?
It is a decorative tape equipped with thermo-adhesive glue, thanks to which you can attach it wherever you want. It is an ideal addition to decorating women's clothing (e.g. necklines, cuffs, stripes, pocket inserts, dress belts, etc.), children's clothing and all accessories, such as hats, headbands, buckles, handbags and shoes. After application, the glue penetrates the fabric, is no longer visible, and the decoration remains in place.
What can I decorate with hot fix tape?
Thermal adhesive tapes have a very wide range of applications and are used primarily for decorating:
- women's and children's clothing, personal underwear;
- costumes for dancers, New Year's Eve outfits, swimsuits;
- leather goods (natural and ecological leather) and jeans;
- accessories, i.e. shoes, bags, hats, scarves, scarves, gloves, tights, socks;
- home accessories, i.e. curtains, drapes, bedding, pillows, blankets, rugs, tablecloths, table runners, pads, towels, etc.
These decorations can also be successfully used for:

How to apply hot fix adhesive tape?
1. Apply the tape to the desired place on the material.
2. Heat the iron to 150-180°C.
3. Place a cotton cloth on the tape and apply the iron from above (do not move it), holding it for about 10-15 seconds.
4. Check whether the silicone has bonded with the material. If it is not enough, we repeat the action.
5. To fix the silicone in the material, iron the tape from the left side of the material.
6. Leave to cool for a while.
A decoration to be hot glued using an iron or an industrial press.
Can you wash clothes decorated with ribbons?
Of course! Thanks to the use of high-quality thermal glue, you can easily keep your decorated clothes clean. However, several rules should be followed to make the product durable and pleasing to the eye for a long time:
- wash by hand or in a washing machine;
- do not exceed the temperature of 40 degrees;
- turn the clothes inside out;
- reduce the spin speed or discontinue it.
